error HTTP 403 in save_url

I'm trying to use save_url API of dropbox. While it works for public links, it doesn't work for dropbox download links obtained using Chooser tool. I get an error on status update -

Error downloading https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/1/view/kgw8qtee5fw4hph/Apps/twaptest/004.jpg. Received HTTP code 403 from proxy after CONNECT
