Hi all,
I’m hoping a Dropbox moderator can help, because I’m stuck and have a time-sensitive business problem.
I signed up for Dropbox Standard (1-month trial) so my clients could download about 500 GB of files via shared links. A client then reported that the link was disabled with the message that it “has been shared or downloaded too many times.” Support confirmed this is because trial accounts have a 20 GB bandwidth limit.
I want to end the trial and be charged for the paid plan right away so the account becomes a normal subscription, but I can’t do it:
- When I click Upgrade, I get the error: “Sorry, you are not currently eligible for this experience.”
- I don’t want to cancel the trial, since that may downgrade me to Basic and I’d lose the storage.
- I contacted support twice. The first reply explained the trial limit. I sent a second request asking to upgrade from the trial and have had no reply in over 24 hours.
Could someone from Dropbox staff please:
- Convert my trial to a paid Standard subscription immediately (my payment details are already on file), or tell me the exact steps if there’s a way I’m missing?
- Re-enable the disabled shared link once the account is on a paid plan?
The trial ends on nov 11. The account is the one I'm posting from.
My clients are waiting on this data, so any help would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!
