Deleted my files and now I can't restore them, just have the online-only files locally

I deleted a bunch of folders long time ago. At the time I had some business account. I thought I had downloaded the files locally, but now I realized some of them were not synced and now I only have 0 kb versions of those files on my harddrive and I can't find them on Dropbox.com

Anyone has any idea on how to retreive them?

As @Mark said, if the files are already 0 KB on your machine, this means that they aren't available locally.

If you're on a Basic account and the files were deleted outside of 30 days, then it wouldn't be possible to recover the files, unfortunately.

You mentioned that the files you are having trouble restoring were deleted a long time ago. Could you clarify exactly how long ago that was?

Unfortunately, files deleted more than 30 days ago cannot be recovered. Since you are currently on a Basic plan, the recovery window is 30 days—provided the files were not permanently deleted.

To ensure we have explored every option, have you checked your deleted files page, the events page, the backups page and your sharing page as well for the missing files?

Thanks for the suggestions! I checked the pages you suggested but that didn't solve my problem. I deleted the folder where the files where after moving it to another place on my harddrive (Documents folder on my iCloud Drive) and uninstalled Dropbox after having downgraded from a business account. However, the files where not properly synced and now only exists as 0 kb files on another place on my harddrive.

Unfortunately they wont be recoverable via Dropbox I'm afraid. That means you had Online Only sync set up and didnt download them first before deleting the folders.
