I could not find anything even remotely close to my situation anywhere on here. My father in law passed away, and we used his laptop and saved passwords to update the billing info for his account to my credit card so that we would not lose his files. He was a graphic designer, and for all we know he used it for business and maybe it was even a business account. He had terrabytes of data on there, more than we could ever download on any local hard drives.
But we could never actually log in ever again because we (my wife and I) got mfa prompts for the account. And obviously, no phone or anything to use for a dead person. So we have been paying for this account for literally years, with no access to it.
Well the time has finally come and the family wants to take a look at what is on there and what we have been paying for to save. Maybe family photos, maybe work stuff, who knows. But we cannot find any way to get past the mfa. And no phone number to call either. We have the death certificates and I have the credit card statements. So how do we go about getting access to the files on the account? Is there a support email that we can work with, or a number we can call?
