I have deleted all of my storage in dropbox and it is still full. I discovered that there was a backup of one of my drives. I stopped that and deleted the backup, but the backup is still there taking up all my storage.
Hi @lgeelee, thanks for messaging today!
You should be able to view your backups on the Dropbox Backup page.
From there, you can click the ellipsis next to the backup, and then delete the backup. This will free up the quota on your account.
If you need any further assistance, please let me know!
There are no backups. There was a backup with one of my drives. I cried the 'delete backup' and then i stopped the backups from happening. As far as I can see there are no more backups happening, and no access to that backup and it should have been deleted.
Do you have any options on that page to view your deleted backups?
no
Thanks for the info, I've sent you an email, please could you reply to it when you get a chance?

Glad to hear that you were able to delete your Dropbox Backups, which were taking up the extra quota on your account!
Enjoy the rest of your week!

Thanks so much for coming back to update the thread - it really helps others who might run into the same confusing situation.
By the way, I’d love to know… what do you usually use Dropbox for? Whether it’s work projects, personal files, backups, or something else entirely, I always enjoy hearing how people fit Dropbox into their day-to-day.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
T 😺 (Dropbox Community Manager)
