I (the main dropbox admin account) appear to be the only person with the correct right click context menu items in Windows Explorer. I'm told the menu items were there until maybe a week or so ago.
If I click on a file outside the dropbox folder I get this:
If I click on a file inside the dropbox folder I get this:
If a user clicks on a file outside the dropbox folder they get this:
If they click on a file inside the dropbox folder there are no dropbox menu options.
They've had to use the website to create share links which works but is not the best workflow. I've tried uninstalling the dropbox app and reinstalling. I can see there are no dropbox items in the registry location
SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers
after the uninstall and they do get successfully recreated after reinstall but the Windows context menus remain as above.
The fact that I get what appears to be the correct options but nobody else does leads me to believe there's some permission issue happening but what or where is a mystery - I've looked around the dropbox admin console but I don't see anything. One of the affected users I've tested has been using dropbox for years and another only had it installed a few days ago. The behavior is the same on both of their computers. One is a developer and local admin, the other is not.
