"Couldn't complete share We've interrupted your sharing activity." Error

Question

Hi - When I try to "Copy Dropbox Link" from my Mac, I get the message "Couldn't complete share We've interrupted your sharing activity." This is only for my work account. My personal account isn't having the issue. I read the "Why has my sharing activity been interrupted?" Help Center article, but none of those things seem like the problem.

How do I restore my ability to "Copy Dropbox Link?"

Hi there, @AmyAnnette, let's jump right into this!

It sounds like access to your sharing was paused on your account. If this is the first time it happens, you'll be able to share files again after 24 hours, so the issue should resolve itself.

Have you checked this article to see if any of the files you're trying to share, or have already shared, breaches the Terms of Service? You can also take a look here for more info.

For some reason, your sharing has been disabled - either due to malware/virus or DMCA take down notices (although this can be a false positive) or, much less likely, due to the wording on the error, because you've used too much bandwidth.

Have a look at this article and contact Support for help to get the ban lifted.
