Invites are accepted but not converted to active status

Question

My organization is a new Business subscription user. I have started to send invitations to staff to access DropBox. They accept the invitation but  they are not converted from "invited" to "active" status, even after 4 days. They are also not being  asked to setup a password, etc. when they accept the invite. Is there something else I or they need to do, or should be doing differently?  Does anyone have any advice?

Hey @NAGP, I see.

Let's try a few things here:

Can you ask the member to access her invite email, right-click “Join your team” and copy the link address on a fresh private/incognito browser window and paste the link there?

Also, can you try cancelling the member's invite, and then re-inviting her? If none of that works let me know, and we'll proceed accordingly.

We have tried it both ways. The new member had a personal DB account and she couldn't accept an invite from this address because she got a message that said that that e-mail was already being used. (She was going to transfer all her files, which are all work files, the "corporate" account and close the other which uses her work address.) I then canceled that incite and tried inviting using her personal (yahoo) email address. It lets her accept the invitation but not do anything else (as I described in the original post). I can provide the specific email addresses if needed.

Just to make sure we're aligned here, it sounds like you're inviting people to join your Dropbox team, right?

Have the users fully complete the steps to either join the team with their existing account or create a new account along with verifying their email address?

Can you confirm that you're following these steps when trying to do so?
