How can my client send me files larger than 5GB, if they don't have a Dropbox account?

I have dropbox plus account. My client does not have a dropbox account. Nor does he want one. How can he send me files that are 5gb and up? I'm always getting hit with the 2gb limit. I'm in video production and 2gb files are nothing. We work with files that range from 2gb to 50gb. We don't want to make our clients open accounts that they don't want.

Thoughts?

Hi Kengi,

Yes, that's correct. Dropbox Professional users can use a File Request to accept files up to 250 GB in size from anyone, whether they have a Dropbox account or not.

The limit has nothing to do with their quota its a restriction based upon your account (Plus). Plus file requests are limited to 2gb as per this help article. To get higher than 2gb you'd need to upgrade to Professional.

Hi Mark. Thanks for getting back to me. So just to make sure I'm following you correctly, if I upgrade to Professional, I can send a file request, to a client that does not have dropbox, and then they can send me files that are, let's say, 50gb?
