Is there a way to determine which log files to delete?
Also, can I tell dropbox to delete these old log files?
Thanks for the info. To answer your original question, there isn't a way to determine which log files are safe to delete, nor is it possible to tell Dropbox to delete old log files automatically.
You would need a script or possibly a setting in the accounting program to automatically delete unneeded log files.
Hey @J Harold W.! Thanks for your post.
Can you clarify which log files you’re referring to exactly?
Feel free to send over a screenshot of what you’re seeing, too.
Ping me, once you’re ready.
none of those showing. But as time goes by there will be a lot of those like the first .log file. If the date is different, are they safe to delete. I am just trying to keep the h&j folder from continually growing in size.
Thanks
Hi @J Harold W., are these log files generated by the Dropbox desktop application or service itself, or by another program?
They are generated by Gnucash, and accounting program.
Thanks so much. That answers my concerns.
