Allow us to restore the last 3 versions of a file, no matter when these versions were saved.

Versioning a file to 30 days or 1 year doesn't work for me. Saving the last 3 (or more) versions would.

I saved a file in 2017. Made a modification to it, saved it. Dropbox synched it.

I realized the next day that I needed to restore the 2017 version. Guess what? It's gone. Understand my issue?

Years ago, Dropbox changed the way that worked. Previously, in the situation you described, your 2017 version could have been restored because you made a change to the file within the last 30 days. It worked like this for years. Then they changed it to how it is now, where only versions saved within the last 30 days could be restored.

The funny part about it is when @Mark and I brought it to their attention, Dropbox claimed that it always worked in this new way, and that it hadn't changed. Documentation was updated and it's worked in this manner ever since.

Restoring a previous version of a file is only possible, if that version was saved within your plan’s recovery window indeed.
