I bought new Samsung s7 edge in June 2016. I got one mail regarding for claiming 48gb free space, but I have not noticed it at that time. So, can i claim the same offer now? how?
No, you cannot. The promotion ended one year ago.
miki - please read the thread. This is explained and discussed frequently.
Hola tengo la promocion de 50 gb por 2 años esta fecha fue cuando la reclame
Hi! I had an galaxy s3 and i got 50gb. The aditional space will expire in august. Now i biught a new samsung galaxy s6 edge. How do i get another 2 years of aditional space on the same account?
You cant.
Firstly, the promotion has ended.
Secondly, you cant claim the same promotion twice on one account.
So i simply need to delete this account and make it again?
No, because as I just said, the promotion has ended - you cant get any space from a Samsung device anymore, whether or not you use a new account.
Hi, I purchased an Samsung phone with a 2 year 48 GB Dropbox eligibility on May 4th, 2015, I completed the "getting started" proccess, and received the 48 gb promotion.
This means that I should have the 48 gb promotion until May 4th 2017.
During the last month or so, I've received notices from Dropbox that my promotion expires on July 25th.
On July 18th I sent Dropbox an explanation, and I attached a copy of the sales receipt confirming that I purchased the phone on May 4th 2015. I figured that this would take care of the problem.
It didn't. As of today, they've cut my limit to 7.25 gb and I can't save anything to Dropbox.
How can I get someone there to listen to me?
thanks,
Nissan
Some promotions were only 1 year Nissan. They were all different lengths.
If you've received notification your promo space has expired I'm afraid its expired.
Thanks for answering, Mark Mc.The promotion was for two years, as the Dropbox team mentioned in their email. They simply got the date wrong, and no one there is responding to my correction, supported by a sales receipt for the qualifying Samsung device.
Its automated Nissan. So it isnt a case of 'getting the date wrong' when setting it up. The sales receipt won't help as I said because various devices had various timeframes on them - it was also network dependent not just brand.
You would need the initial email if anything.
And no, nobody can help here. All you can do is keep sending tickets, or, keep them open, but I seriously wouldn't hold your breath.
Adquiri un telefono samsung en septiembre de 2015 con la promocion de 48 Gb durante dos años. El 22 de julio de esta año, sin que se cumpliera ni un solo año, DROPBOX da por terminada la promoción y me ha retirado el espacio
hey, samsung galaxy s7 is good for receive 48GB?
thanks
Jonathan, the promotion ended earlier this year, no Samsung device is eligible any more.
Hello, I've just purchased a new samsung S7 and got a message offering the free dropbox storage. Was this an error or has the offer started again ?
This message was the only reason i sent looking for the storage
If it has i cant seem to get access to it.
Its a pre-loaded message on the device Brian - one which must have been produced before the promotion ended I'm afraid.
Awww, i'my disappointed now. I feel like ive been led on then dumped at the alter. 😭Thanks for clearing it up though Mark, saved me wasting any more time with dropbox!
I've come to the end of the promotion for Samsung and have about 5 G of data stored I can't see myself ever using 1 Tb but need more than the free 2 G is there another option between basic and pro. Thank you
C.L.,You can get that additional free 3GB fairly easily by referring friends to dropbox. Last I checked it was 250 MB per referral, so you'd have to refer 12 people. Not impossible.
Referrals for Basic accounts are 500mb (1GB for Pro) and you can refer up to 32 people for a total of 16GB (32 GB for Pro).
My promotion is ending, I have found this info:
What happens when my promotional space expires?
When your promotional deal expires, your Dropbox space limit will automatically return to what it was without the promotional space. For example, if you have a Basic account, your limit will return to 2 GB plus any additional space you've earned through referrals or other bonuses.
My question is, what happens if I am over my 2 GB when the promotion ends? Will my files stay, and I just won't be able to upload anything else? Or will my files be deleted to downgrade to the space I have after the promo ends?
Will my files stay
For a while, yes, but not indefinitely.
and I just won't be able to upload anything else?
Correct.
hi
i got a new samsung phone and it comes with free 50gigs, i login with my account and didnt get the bonus memory but them i login with my work dropbox login 1 week later it gives the bonus to my work dropbox. how can i swap it back to my personal drop box?
The promotion ended earlier this year, no new Samsung phones currently offer the free space, and old ones cannot activate the space any more.
i did get it but it is on the wrong account, can i swap it to the right one?
I dont think you got it recently - at least not since April.
And no, you can't swap it in any case.
Hello,
I have tried to redeem the promotion on my Galaxy A3. First I logged in with my account and then I read I needed to create a new one so I log out and signed up with a new one. I followed 5 of the steps but I didn't get the extra space. I figured it was because I first logged in with a different account. So I disable the Dropbox App (as I cannot uninstall it for some reason), deleting all the info I think and enable it back. I cancelled my previously created account to be able to do it from the beginning and I signed up again. I followed 5 of the 8 getting started steps but still I didn't get the 50GB space. What can I do to resolve this issue?Thank you Miguel
You cant, the promotion ended earlier this year, there is no 50GB bonus any more.
Hi
My 2 year 48 Gb reward lasted about 4 months... how come? Is there any way to get back the remaining 20 months?
I doubt it did, I think you have probably claimed it earlier than intended or believe you get additional space for a second device.
You can ask support to check though as has already been said.
Hi,
Can't seem to be able to find an date at which my free 48GB expire from my account? Any ideas? Don't want to be suprised when it does come.
Thanks for any help in this regard
