I bought new Samsung s7 edge in June 2016. I got one mail regarding for claiming 48gb free space, but I have not noticed it at that time. So, can i claim the same offer now? how?
No, you cannot. The promotion ended one year ago.
I don't recieve my 48 gb. Device's S\N R52F8122AYA. Samsung sm-t111, august, 2014
Hi. I accidently refused the offer for free space on Dropbox, proposed by my new Samsumg Galaxy A3 (when the telephone asked me, whether I want it or not, I didn't know the conditions and stuff, so I refused). Is there any way that I get another chance of getting that free space?
Is there any way that I get another chance of getting that free space?
Not likely. The promotion actually expired last month.
Hey I need some help!Actually I want to know that, what would happen when the promotion ends? I mean I've uploaded data almost up to 5GB, while my regular space was just 2GB.I want to know, when promotion ends, my data would also delete???
No it won't - as is said quite a few times on the thread. It will just stop syncing and new files or changes until you get yourself back down below quota.
my friend just buy samsung galaxy S6, first time download and install dropbox, but not got 48gb
so promotion had been end?
Yes. The promotion ended last month.
These all are fake for promoting
The promotion was not fake. It lasted several years and has finally come to an end. I believe it's only the Samsung promotion that has ended. The HTC, Dell, HP, etc., promotions are all still active as far as I know.
"It will just stop syncing and new files or changes until you get yourself back down below quota"
It means that: Can I deletes a file to upload a new file? Or whenever I deletes a file, my space would also perish???
Can I deletes a file to upload a new file?
You would need to have deleted enough files to bring yourself under quota before you can upload anything new.
Or whenever I deletes a file, my space would also perish???
It has already gone (or perished). So you cannot use it any more.
Dropbox also reserve the right to delete files to get you under quota. They do email first though.
Hi,
I have a samsung phone and was over the free limit for dropbox. Instead of upgrading I deleted some photos, but the dropbox sync function is still is disabled on my phone and won't allow me to re-enable it.
Does this mean I have to sign up for dropbox pro if I want sync functionality?
It means you need to delete more photos. Or, possibly restart Dropbox on your phone.
Check www.dropbox.com/account to see how much space you have.
Hallo Community,
Hi, I have registered my new Samsung Galaxy S5, it is eligible for 50GB free space and is preinstalled with Dropbox. I got the message on the device about the 50GB and confirmed.
The problem is that I misspelled my email during the first registration and never got the redeem space email.
I changed the account to the correct email address and done the 5 steps but only get 250MB.
How can I redeem the promotion now?
Thanks,
Nirit
nao consigo ativar a promoçao de 50g da compra do samsung a7, como devo proceder?
You cant I'm afraid. The promotion has finished.
I have a 48GB promotional space of Samsung in addition to an original space of around 6GB. The Samsung space (48GB) will expire soon.It is mentioned in the Dropbox website that:"If you're over your limit after expiration, you'll no longer be able to save new photos, videos, and docs to Dropbox. You'll be able to get more space by upgrading to Dropbox Pro."They said I will not be able to add more data but they did not tell what happen if I'm more than the 6GB. They going to delete the extra files or what.To be more clear:
my original space is 6GB
and I earned 48GB through Samsung that will expire soon
Right now I'm using 19GB which mean I'm already using 13GB out of the 48GB. Should I remove this 13 GB to save my data or they will not delete them. They said I can't add more but can I keep them there??Thanks,Mahmoud
They going to delete the extra files or what.
Your files will not be deleted for being over quota, at least not for a while. I'm sure if you left them there forever Dropbox would eventually send you a notice, but they do not delete files just for going over your quota.
He adquirido recientemente un S7 Edge con dropbox preinstalado y no se me ha aplicado la promocion de los 48 Gb. Queria saber que es lo que ha pasado.
Gracias!
I recently purchased a preinstalled S7 Edge with dropbox and I have not applied the promotion of 48 Gb . I wanted to know what happened.
Thank you!

I recently started using a Samsung table. It came pre-loaded with the Dropbox application and when I started using it for the first time it showed the offer for 48GB free as per a Samsung/Dropbox offer. I registered and did everything as required a couple of days ago to later receive an email from Dropbox telling me that the offer has expired.
However, by reading on their website I found the following:
As per the above I should be entitled to the free space as my tablet was between 2012-2014 and came pre-loaded with the app and I am a new user. The tablet has never been used before so no-one else has claimed the free promotional space.
I have tried looking to contact Dropbox however it seems they make very difficult for someone to contact non-other than their sales team that cannot help with the issue.
Can someone tel me how I can ask Dropbox to honor my the promotional space?
You likely will not be able to claim the bonus space. You had to do so while the promotion was active, and it expired on April 30th of this year. You can try contacting Support to ask (use the links posted in the reply above yours), but I wouldn't get your hopes up.
However. As has been said the promotion has expired. Therefore, unfortunately, regardless of when it was bought it is the activation date on Dropbox thats the key factor. You missed that date so it is illegible.
well my friend is using dropbox on her phone and she has this 50gb which lasts for 2 years so she wanted to know what would happen to her things uploaded on dropbox if she used almost half of the 50gb? would her things still be there?
