Can I choose which date Camera Uploads starts uploading from?

My goal is to automatically synch only more recent photos from my iPhone Camera Roll so that I can share just the more recent photos (on my current vacation, say) and preserve my Dropbox storage.

Currently within Dropbox, the "New photos only" item says "Starting Mar 10, 2022", and too many photos are being uploaded. Can I change this to a more recent date so that I can automatically upload fewer photos?

I followed your advice "Maybe uninstall/reinstall the app and see if the date changes? If you try, I'd disable Camera Uploads before the uninstall. ".

Hi there, @Touchdown, thanks for reaching out to us.

I'm afraid this is a setting that cannot be changed, but are you sure that the date is from 2022?

If you chose to upload new photos only, it should start uploading only the photos and videos you take from now on, not your older ones.

Would you mind sending us a screenshot of that, so we can take a closer look?

And you just enabled Camera Uploads recently, without previously having it activated on that device?

I ask because mine says Starting Dec 20, 2022, but that's when I activated Camera Uploads originally.

Edited to add: Maybe uninstall/reinstall the app and see if the date changes? If you try, I'd disable Camera Uploads before the uninstall. Also note that any files marked as Available Offline will need to be marked as such again.
