my question is:
Is there any plan that is even cheaper than the normal basic plan of 2000 tb? It happens that I want to have more storage space, but the cheapest plan is still quite expensive.
Is there an alternative storage plan, which is cheaper?
Hi @wdshieh, if your account is eligible, you could upgrade to the Dropbox Basic Extra plan, which offers all the existing features on Basic, but with 50 GB of quota.
Hello!
I would like to buy 110 accounts.
But I just need 1-115 Gb for one account.
2`000Gb plan is expensive for me.
Can Dropbox make plans with price for 1 Mb?
I used an offer from Acer for 100 G plan and see now that it expires and I need to chose a paid plan. The plans offered by Dropbox are not suited to individual users with no need for excessive storage capacity. To choose between 2 G for the basic and 2000G for the next available plan is too much. I suggest looking at offering a plan to continue the 100 G Acer promotion as a paid plan more suited to individual users like myself.
Thanks so much
Agnes Zelgert
I believe many people don't necessarily need an additional 1TB of space.
They might only require 10GB or 20GB. Currently, there is no plan to rent or purchase smaller storage spaces.
I think this should be introduced as soon as possible.
i vostri concorrenti stanno rilasciando piani da 100 GB al costo di $ 10/anno (0,83/mese)
se aveste un piano simile disponibile preferirei continuare con voi
your competitors released 100GB plans, at the cost of 10$/Year (0,83 per Month):
if you had similar plans i would prefer to continue with you.
thank you
You should have a plan for 4 or 8GB at $5 a month and then I'd do it. As it is now, I'll move some files onto my computer.
I don't need anywhere near 2 TB and don't want to pay $10/month. I am a home user but do a small amount of side work that I need to have segregated from my OneDrive. Why not offer 1 TB storage space option?
I don’t need 2T capacity, 100GB is enough for me2T is expensive. Do you have any solution?
Who would like to 'downgrade' to a 1TB option for $4.99 a month?
Lots of alternatives available since Dropbox seems to not care about offering a cheaper storage plan. Check out Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, Sync, Mega, and iDrive.
Hi,
I would like to share my opinion that if you start a plan for students or less than 2 TB plan, that would help student users or those who want to get a small package. That might be more effective for enhancing users. As a Dropbox user, I couldn't buy a plan. I kept my basic plan because. The further plan is 2 TB, it would be expensive for me.
Could you please offer 1TB single person @ £4 per month.
Drop Box minimum data purchase is for 2,000 GB. When I have used only 9 GB for the last 3 years, i don't see using 2,000 GB for another 200 years. This mimnimum stipulation of 2,000 GB is unduly forcing the user to pay 2,000 GB without using even 1 to 2% of 2,000 GB. Dropo Box should immediatley offer lower GB Plans (atleast 100 GB) with the price accordingly.
It could offer more plan options with affordable discounts. I believe the current plans are expensive. Promotional offers could also be increased, such as the one priced at R$10.00 per month (Brazil). I would be interested and sign it myself.
I am a dropbox user for many years but I am not needing large amounts of storage space as we transfer a small amount of files on a weekly basis being not more than 10GB. I was wondering if DropBox would offer the relevant plan. However, this is not the case. I do not need 2TB space and pay EURO 120 per year for space that I am not using. A suggestion, like Google does, to offer plans that allow you to buy space per 100GB units as you need. I wonder if the DropBox Team already had a look into this possibility. Thank you. JP:)
+1 on the request a cheaper plan. Google One offers additional storage for a few dollars why can't we have the same on dropbox?
One more request for a cheaper plan! 10GB, 20GB, 50GB? The jump from 2GB to 2000GB is just too overkill imho.
How on earth does an average user (not talking about indie producers, just normal people saving pictures, college notes, and things like that) manages to fill 2TB? My files distributed across different services don't even reach 25GB altogether.
OneDrive, Google Drive, Apple, IDrive offer more realistic solutions.
I really liked Dropbox and I've been using the free version for a few years, I just wanted to have a centralized place, but 2Tb is way too much for me and I can't afford 11 bucks a month right now (at least with regional pricing I would consider it).
There should be a $50/yr option.
why there no cheaper plans
But is there a way of getting a plan that gives the user 500GB or 1TB
for £5 or £2.5 per month for 500GB because 2TB sound too nice
I see that people have been asking for smaller plans for the past few years and it doesn't seem like anything has been done. I've also read that Dropbox has tried offering smaller plans without success. I don't know what kind of plans were offered in the past but can you try again to make Dropbox more affordable for people who don't need so much space? It's ridiculous that plans start at 2GB at no cost then jumps to 2000GB for $120 dollars. This is a deal paying 6 cents per GB but this is too expensive for those who don't need that much space. More affordable plans are needed for people who may need as little as 50GB of space. We would really appreciate it if you could reconsider adding smaller and affordable plans in the near future. I am sure I am speaking for a lot of people who are currently using your free plan and are willing to pay for a little more for more space.
I will never use anywhere 2TB of storage but that is your smallest plan. 100GB would be more than I would need. Why can't you offer smaller plans? It should not be that hard.
Hi all,
I'm a personal user with free Basic plan. I wish Dropbox can offer a plan with 100G or 200G. 2T is just too expensive for me.
