windows desktop app will not connect

I'm trying to connect my team account to the windows desktop app. I've tried different machines (personal, with team account linked, work computer with just my team account), different networks, etc

Always get to the login, enter my 2fa code, then it just sits and spins. Online, my security tab in my profile shows the connection to my devices at this point, but the connection and sync never happen.

Any thoughts?

I had already tried that, and it failed. Scroll up.

Got it working:
1. Admin competely deleted my account,
2. Uninstall ALL DB on machine.
3. Recreate account.

4. Reboot, reinstall DB
5. Worked first time.

What two-step verification method are you currently using? Is this a Dropbox Business team specific method of verification?

Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?

1. Using Google Authenticator TOTP code as TFA.

3. NOTE that my account says that I'm linked on the device - just that the device never actually finishes connection.

It seems that you're having an issue when the two-step verification code is entered. Is it possible to disable this to see if the connection can be made onto the account?

It failed prior to me enabling TFA as well. So, already tried that.

Hi @apassy_rbn, have you tried accessing your Security page online, and removing the device from there?

You can then re-connect it. If it fails to connect again, could you take a screenshot of the app and how it looks on your end, and attach it here?

I did. Then retried. it reappeared, but no conneciton.

Hey @apassy_rbn - sorry to jump in here, but could you try the offline installer from this page and let us know if you still get the same results?

If you have an antivirus running, you can try temporarily disabling it too.

Ok. Uninstalled previous app. rebooted. installed offline installer. started it. It prompted me to login on the browser. I did, app spun a bit, then presented login screen. Then it failed in a new way:

Can you please click on the small Dropbox icon in your system tray, go to the gear icon > Preferences, and then select your “Account” tab? Are you able to log in from there perhaps?

It never appears, becasue I can never get one good login.
