Recover older version of a file

I am a free user
I use Dropbox to sync an app called 2Do
2 days ago the sync was corrupted/lost data.
Is there a way to rewind to a prior version of files which were changed or deleted ? There are no files in my deleted folder
When I try to rewind it wants to charge me $120 for annual subscription.
That would be worth if I know this will work but otherwise I don’t need the higher subscription

Hi @Jschutz8,

I'd be happy to help you restore to a previous version of that file.

So long as it's within your account's version history, here's what to do:

Put your cursor on the name of a file from here (any document, or image, or something else ending in . and three letters, such as .JPG, .PDF and so on).
Click the three dots ("...").
Click Activity --> Version history.
Click on a version to preview it.
Click Restore on the version you'd like to restore to.
