Help!
I compose music (in Dorico, in case you care) and store it in Dropbox. HOW DO YOU USE THE FILE SYSTEM? I have been a paid member of Dropbox for several years at least, and still can't figure out the basics. Today I went to share a file with some of my compositions for a project, and I noticed there was someone allowed to edit and I wanted to change their status, in fact, to remove them completely. I was told to go to the "parent file" which I tried to find using logic that works in other programs, and--- NO!!! I searched this forum and found what seemed to be ancient instructions for using computer code to find the parent file. Really? I have to use a string of code to locate my parent file? I even paid to uplevel my account to professional, because that was another part of doing what I wished. I'd forgotten that I downgraded from Professionial because it didn't seem to solve any of my problems.
So... ANY MUSIC COMPOSERS HERE WHO WOULD HELP A FELLOW COMPOSER LEARN SOME BASICS? It's no fun having to recreate orchestration from your own Mp3 or xml as I'm sure you know --- not to mention paying for a service and not being able to make to use it.
I do apologize for the rant, yet--- it was someone's rant about the inability to structure and even name their files that clued me into the fact that I am not the only lost sheep nerd here. Hoping I don't get a badge instead of a clear answer and/or a Dropbox pal --- Always swim with a buddy, and I definitely am drowning over here. 🙂 Can you help?
