Hi. I have videos that play correctly in Dropbox. When I save them to my iPhone, they become distorted. I have other videos that I can download with no problems. I am using PowerDirector for media creation. Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi @CoachMu, you should have a camera-like icon, that'll allow you to attach any screenshots back to me, here in the Community.
Also, can you clarify the version of the OS you're using on your iPhone, and the version of the Dropbox app?
If I were you, I'd also try to use the browser on my phone, and download from there, just to check if the same thing happens then.
Hi @CoachMu, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you clarify exactly what you mean by distorted?
Is the size different, the colors, the audio, or something else?
Is this occurring for all videos, or only those created via that program?
Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!
Jay, Good morning! Thanks for your reply. On my iPhone, the media audio and video work normally. When I import the file into PowerDirector, the audio gets garbled and slows down. I pull media from Dropbox all the time and only a small number of files (all from the same recording session) are this way. [removed]
Sorry to jump in here, @CoachMu.
Do you see the same behavior, when you download these files from dropbox.com using a computer?
No problem! Do keep us updated on what happens, please.
Thanks!
Hi @CoachMu, just to clarify: you mentioned mixed results.
Did they fail when you tried to preview them locally on your computer, or when you imported them using a third-party app? Also, the ones that failed still preview without an issue online, right?
Having a similar issue. Downloaded a video from my PC to dropbox. Then from dropbox onto iPhone. Upon saving on iPhone, video gets distorted and has slow down issues and become corrupt. Not usable in any way.
Hey @steveinathens, sorry to hear about this.
Can you please clarify if you're able to preview this file normally on our website and after downloading it locally on your computer?
Also, is this affecting only one file or more?
