File on my desktop that i cannot delete

Does anybody know what i need to do to remove this particular file from my desktop? Because i've been trying to get rid of it for a long time and i don't know what to do. The file has name desktop.ini and it appears everytime after i try to delete it or put it in a folder. I simply don't want it to be there for lots of reasons. Please help me, i'm tired of this issue. As this is technically a hidden file in the system, and one created by the OS, it wouldn't be possible to remove that file from the desktop.

Hi @daily, thanks for messaging the Community.

This is a hidden file that is created by your Windows OS, so if you delete the file, Windows would just re-create it each time.

Has this issue occurred recently? Could you clarify on why you believe Dropbox created the file?

Recently, I got a new computer and I decided to download dropbox because the app itself is really convenient and helped me out a lot on the past

After I did everything that app asked me to do this file appeared on my desktop. Now, I'm not quite sure weather it's dropbox created a file or not.
