I'm pro user. I enabled the disable download option on my shared video but other shared users can also download this video. why?
How are they downloading it? All this option does is remove the download buttons etc. It does not mean there is no way, at all, to download it.
Hi @Eran116, how are you today?
How are you sharing the file? Do you use a shared link?
If so, I'd suggest you try an incognito tab on your browser, paste the link there and check to see if you also have the option to download.
Let me know more.
I'm pro user. I enabled the disable downloads option for invited people on my shared video, nevertheless invited people still can download this video (The download bוtton is still enabled for them). why?
Hi megan
Thanks for your support
I tried now an incognito tab with shared link and it works well (download button was disable) but when I do the same with sharing to invited people the download button is still enable for them. any idea why?

The ability to disable downloads is a function of a shared link. If you explicitly invited someone to a file or folder, which requires them to have a Dropbox account, you can't restrict them from downloading because the file(s) shared with them are automatically added to their Dropbox account.
Are you using these steps when trying to share a link?
Can they send us a screenshot of what they see when they click on it, and try to download the content on their end?
I share a file thru shared link and disable the download, when the user open the shared link the user can still download the file. The disable download feature is not working. Please advise.
Hi @paolocm24, how are you?
I've merged your post under a similar thread, just to keep everything under one place.
Could you take a look as to what has been suggested before, and let me know of any updates and further info?
Keep me posted!
Hey @paolocm24, if you open your post, you should see the entire thread, and previous steps.
If you try an incognito tab on your browser, and paste the link there do you have the option to download the content?
I have this same issue. I've sent the file to three different addresses and they were all able to view and download the file. I have the Business Standard plan.
Dropbox don't work on their security permission, we already just switch to use O365 One Drive and Sharepoint.
Hi @Ken_At_POLIHIRE, let's jump right into this!
Have you tried pasting the shared link on an incognito tab on your current browser, (while you're logged out of your Dropbox account) and checking the behavior on your end?
Can you then download the content of the link?
Yes it didn't work even on my colleagues laptop. The security is not working. False advertisement.
