Folder with subfolders missing on account, stuck on download icon in iPad app

Question

I had a folder titled Knitting that had 27 folders inside of it with several hundred patterns in it. I don’t know where it went to and I cannot find it. On my iPad I see the Knitting folder and the 27 folders inside of it and they have the “download” arrows on them. However, when I try to download I just get a circle that keeps on going around and never get any of the files.

Is there any way to get them back?

I apologize for the delay in my reply. Do you see any sign of the "Knitting" folder on your events page or deleted files page?

Also, are you certain you are logging into the correct Dropbox account? Please check the email address listed in your iPad app settings to make sure it matches the exact email address you are using on the web browser. When was the last time you saw these files in your online account?

Regarding the issue with the files not downloading on your iPad, this can sometimes happen if the files have already been deleted. To help investigate further, could you try temporarily disconnecting from your Wi-Fi or cellular data and letting me know if you are able to download any of those offline files?

In addition, Dropbox.com doesn’t have the Knitting folder nor does my PC desktop. I only see it on my iPad.

My guess here is that actually you have two different Dropbox accounts - one on the iPad and one on the computer. You should be able to test this by uploading a file from the iPad and seeing if you see it on the computer or viceversa.
