Can't access a shared folder because I'm out of storage space

I'm in a group and we share access to a Dropbox folder. When I log in it gives me a message that I'm over my storage limit which is two gigs. The other members don't have that problem. The folder is actually only 350 mb. But I don't see any other files stored on my account. How can I see what is making up the 2 gigs it says I have stored.

So the shared folder (Two Rivers) is what is full and using all your quota.

There is no way around it bar getting more space, or, asking them to put less in the share.

Alternatively if you just need readonly access as for a shared link instead.

How can I see what is making up the 2 gigs it says I have stored.

Go to dropbox.com/manage/subscriptions to see what makes up the quota.

You may also need to go to https://www.dropbox.com/backup/all which will show if you are using any Backups as well.

Ok so subscriptions just shows that I need more storage space. The other shows the two files I deleted. The other group members are not having this issue and the folder is like only 350 mb

But if I log out of Dropbox and my friend sends me the link to the audio from yesterday's concert I can listen but if I log in to Dropbox it won't let me access that audio file to.listem or share it

That link should show your quota.

Note that shared folders use the quota of everybody in it. So that means everything at www.dropbox.com/home will use up your quota.

You're right it shows my quota is two gigs. But the folder in question is only 350 mb. When I click to show all files it only shows that folder so I don't know what else makes up the 2.2 gigs. Sorry I'm being confusing.

So, that shows that your quota is 2gb but you are using up 2.5gb (bar 1mb or so) within shared folders. So either you have more than one shared folder OR the files in it are not 300mb.

Note that you may only see 300mb of files in your Dropbox if the next file added takes you over quota. Once you are over quota syncing stops till you bring yourself below the limit.

Ok it's just odd that the other quartet members are not getting that message.

There quota must be higher - either via referrals or other means (they could even be paid members).

Your quota is already over the base level (which is 2gb) so you have been referred in, others may have done the same to get extra space.

If there was anything else taking up space for me I'd see it on that screen right

Yes. Everything you see at that screen is using quota.
