Previous owner deleted themselves and now I can't even add them back because I don’t have ownership. How do I get ownership of my Dropbox that someone else created?
What exactly is the issue? Is this of a shared folder etc.?
Unfortunately, there is no way, at all, of getting ownership of an account/file or folder if the actual owner deleted themselves and didn't transfer it first. The easiest and quickest resolution is to recreate the folder yourself and re-share.
It is a shared folder. They were the accountants and removed themselves after a year of data added.
So I can create a new folder - drag everything into my new folder, and then I would be the owner and be able to add people?
