Issue with the 500 MB Referral Bonus. "Waiting for installation" status.

How does the Dropbox referral program work to get the 500 MB bonus? I sent a link to a friend, they created an account using the link, installed the application, and logged in with the same email. However, my account still shows the message: "waiting for installation."

Did they install it on a unique computer?

Mobile devices such as phones or iPads do not count.

Previously, when I sent the link, the people who installed Dropbox claim they only installed the application on their phones, and I received the 500 MB.

Then something went wrong and you were lucky - the promotion has only EVER been that it was needed to be installed on to a computer. Mobile devices dont, and never ever have, counted towards the referral bonus.
