Files maliciously deleted. How can I restore them?

Yesterday (1/31/25) a terminated employee deleted 50 files out of various Dropbox folders before we could remove his access. We need help recovering those files. Despite the Help instructions we consulted there is NO link or other area where we have found these deleted files. Not new to Dropbox but new to the community. Hello to all and thanks for patience as I am sure someone likely asked this question before.

Ok, no need to respond. I was able to find the Deleted folder after all and was able to successfully restore the missing files. Please ignore my post and help others who may still need assistance. Thanks.

Pleased it is sorted, however, what I will say here is that you must put in place some form of secure backups. If that employee (or anybody) used the web to permanently delete them they are not, at all, recoverable via Dropbox. Also, if it is over 30 days and you are a free user, again, not recoverable at all.

ALL companies should have multiple layers of backup available.

First of all, I’m really sorry this happened to you, there’s nothing worse than thinking your files have been deleted without your authorization. I’m glad you were able to find them in your deleted files folder, and thank you for updating us. This will surely be helpful for others in the future.
