How can I use the password, in order to access a password-protected file?

I was sent a file to my dropbox for which I have the password. I just don't know where to input the password inside of dropbox so that I can access the zipped file.... please help!!!... it's from a potential client that will be huge for my agency, but I do not want to look like a fool by not being able to access a simple file... I'm sure the process is so easy. I'm gonna get pissed when I finally figured it out...

Dropbox doesn't have the ability to password protect files. The link to the file can have a password, but you would have had to enter it to download the file.

If the sender told you that the Zip file is password protected, you'll need to download the file and open it on your computer. Whatever software you use for opening a Zip file should prompt you for the password.
