Hide notifications for unshared folders.

Hello there,

I'm sorry if the issue has been addressed before but I couldn't find anything on the subject.

I realized today that one of my coworker, with whom I don't share the admin folder, receives notifications when I make a change on one of the files located in said admin folder (including the name of the modified file).

Is it something that I can change?

Thanks for the additional info, @kleep.

If you create a folder within your team member folder (the one with your name on it), no one else but you, would have access to it, unless you chose to share it.

It sounds like you're part of a Dropbox Business team, is that correct?

When you mention admin folder, can you clarify more? Is this a team folder, or a personal shared one?

Yes, it's a team folder, but with top management access only.

Hey @kleep, if they're receiving desktop notifications every time changes are made to the folder, it means they have access to it and it's synced to their computer.

Can you double-check the permissions on the folder?

I checked the permissions. It says "only you have access".

Maybe they receive notifications because it's a team folder, and not a private folder?

Is it possible for the admin to create a private folder in a business account?

Otherwise, they might be connected with my ID and password, which is unlikely but I can still check.
