I work remotely and share content with colleagues via Dropbox. Often we'll drop a generated Dropbox share URL into a chat box as a quick way of indicating a particular file. However, when we click on that link, it of course opens the file at dropbox.com in Firefox, my default browser. Is it possible to change or intercept that behaviour so that the local copy of the file opens instead if Dropbox is installed? I think it's possible in theory since dropbox.com already has links (such as Manage backups > Open Backup setting) that prompt the local Dropbox software to perform an action.
Alternatively is there a more suitable link we can generate?
Thanks,
Peter
