Uploading files to someone else's Dropbox account without taking storage space from my account

I want to send someone files directly to their Dropbox, but I don't it to upload to my Dropbox and take up space. Is there a way to do this? If so, how, and can it be done via phone app?

Hi @Noi_Sela, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

This is possible by having that user create a file request. You'll then be able to add files directly to their Dropbox account without taking up quota on your own account.

I see that it's up to 2 GB. Is there an option to upload more than 2 GB?

Also, can they send me the request via phone app?

Hey @Noi_Sela, sorry to jump in here!

The size of the file request depends on the account of the user that is sending it, which is the account of the person you want to upload files to.

Dropbox Basic, Plus, and Family customers can request files up to 2 GB.
Customers on Dropbox Professional, Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise can accept files up to 50 GB in size.

A file request can only be created on dropbox.com.
