Trying to view comments on PDF

Hello

I am working in a shared folder. I have synced it on my laptop. But when my mentor has added comments to my PDF I am unable to view them, it just says there are none there? There is plenty of space in the account. I have editor rights.

Any ideas of what I should do would be very much appreciated.

Are these comments in the PDF itself via a PDF editor, or are these the comments used on the Dropbox site?

The comments are inside the PDF in the end she had to email it to me so I could view them.

Hey @Lucy Shine Strong , sorry to jump in here, but when you say the comments are inside the PDF, I'm assuming that your mentor is adding their comments through a 3rd party app and not directly on the Dropbox website - is that correct?

Yes, she shared her screen and I could see them. But when I opened the doc on my end I couldn’t see any. I tried numerous times.

Have you considered using the Dropbox comments feature instead in that case, Lucy?

I hadn’t thought of that. My mentor uses Dropbox with other people and does the same thing regularly. She didn’t understand why I couldn’t see the comments. I didn’t want to ask her to re-do all her work.

If your mentor is seeing the comments on the file on our website and you've made sure that you're looking at the same file, then you might need to clear your browser's cache or try another browser, Lucy.

If the issue persists, please send us a screenshot of how the file with its comments looks on your end and another one of what it looks on your mentor's end.
