We have an employee who no longer works for us, but keeps getting emails. How do I unsubscribe her email address without having to login to their account? Thank you
Hey @HSG2000, thanks for joining our Community.
In order for someone to stop receiving Dropbox emails, they'd need to change the address associated with their Dropbox account.
I'm afraid, this can only be done from the account owner's end, or someone who has login access to the account.
Let me know if you have any questions.
I ran into this issue, just now, trying to unsubscribe from Dropbox emails. Requiring a login when requesting to unsubscribe is actually a violation of the American CAN-SPAM Act, I believe. I should not have to log in to unsubscribe from emails. There is a "one-step unsubscribe rule" for opting out that Dropbox is not abiding by, seemingly. I'm surprised they've not been reported to the FTC, already.
I signed up to the community to post the last post. I was sent multiple emails.
On the bottom of the emails, it stated:
To control which emails we send to you, go to manage your subscription and notification settings, or click here to unsubscribe.
I clicked "click here to unsubscribe". The page I landed on said my access was denied, and I did not have sufficient privileges to reach the unsubscribe page, even though I was logged in.
This, again, is not legal. This needs to be sorted. L.
Thank you for reaching out. We are looking into the issue.
As a temporary workaround, please contact privacy@dropbox.com and we will assist further.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
