Hello,
Â
I have a paid account with a primary and secondary email. Someone shared an album with my secondary email, but when I try to open it I get a popup saying don't have access to the content. What did I do wrong?
Thanks!
Annie 😃
Hi Lori,
Thanks for the reply! I tried in a different browser, no luck. Here's what I see:
I confirmed that the spelling is correct, and the secondary email has been verified.
I tried to create a new account with the secondary email (I know, that's probably bad!), and Dropbox said there was already an associated account. I tried to reset the password, but I never got a reset link emailed to either account. I can still log in normally with the primary account.Â
Thanks for your help, Lori! It's much appreciated!
That would be great! How should I share my contact info?Â
Thank you Lori!Â
I am having the exact same issue.Â
Were you able to get this to work?
Hi, I'm having the same issue. I have a secondary email setup and a folder was shared to that one. When I try accessing it, I get the error message that I need to request access with my primary email.Â
Hi @carlosp, are you certain that they sent the email to the correct address? Does the shared folder not appear on this page on your account?
Certainly I can ask them to send them to the personal email but my question is: if I can access the file if they send it to my secondary email? That has not worked so far!
Hey @carlosp, sorry to jump in here.
Secondary emails are indeed for sharing purposes, so it should work.
Did you check the page that Jay linked you in his response above, to see if you can locate the folder there, to check if it worked?
I'm also having this problem. A dropbox folder was shared with my secondary email, and when I try and open it from my primary email, it says that I don't have access. Did anyone resolve this?
Hi @sdelittle, were you able to see the invite for the shared folder on your account from this page?
