Hi, im looking to get more free space. i did all the free offers and invited friends but i went to invite another friend and i did not get the 500MB credit. is there a limit? thanks
Yes there is - there is a limit of 32 referrals. Note as well that you dont get space for inviting, you get space for the invitee accepting and joining Dropbox using a unique computer
Thank you for the quick reply. Yes, I have done all those. thank you!
HelloWould you check if the friend you invited joined Dropbox?Your friend must sign up for Dropbox to receive additional capacity.
Yes, the ones I sent was accepted. I sent more about 40 I'd say I didn't know it was maxed out. thank you!
I have invited a friend and he has installed Dropbox both on his cellphone and computer, but I still didn't get the additional 500MB.

You can review the status of your referrals on your Plan page.
Hi @mokh, are you certain that they've installed the Dropbox desktop application, under the same email address you invited them to?
As per @Rich, try checking the status of your referral and let us know what you see!
Thank you @Jay & @Rich. Seems the invitee has not installed the Dropbox PC via the invite link.
No worries, @mokh, if you need any more info, please let me know.
Enjoy your weekend!
In that case, it may be that you've reached your account's maximum referral space.
This is 16 GB for accounts on the Basic plan while it gets doubled when on the Plus, Family or the Professional plan (32GB).
How much space have you earned through referrals so far @umairrana75?
Dropbox = D for DEFINITELY AWESOME!
Here are two easy peasy ways to win some free extra space:
1. Complete the "Dropbox getting started checklist"
I got 125 MB for it back in 2013 and it helped me.
Thank you, Dropbox!
2. Contribute to the forum.
If Dropbox likes your answer, they'll award you free storage.
Maybe for this response, I'll get some free storage .
Thank you in advance, Dropbox, you are AWESOME!
Yes, You can earn extra space by inviting your friends to try out Dropbox, here are the limits:
I surely would like to know more about that! 😅..... Anyone?

Hey @brunovieira, I was just on the other post you commented, so make sure to check that out.
Here's an article about the ways to get some extra space in your account.
I hope this helps!
Hi Aleksj, Certainly, you can increase your storage in Dropbox through both free and paid plans.
To earn free storage space for free up to 18 GB, you can complete the Dropbox getting started checklist or refer your friends, family, and coworkers.
But if you want more space you can pay to upgrade to Dropbox Plus to get 2 TB of storage space or Dropbox Professional to get 3 TB of storage space. If you have a Plus or Professional account and work with two or more colleagues, you may want to consider upgrading to a Dropbox team account, which starts at 5 TB of storage space.
Please feel free to ask the community if you need further clarification on any of these free or paid plans
Hi @Aleksej_82
Your friend cannot automatically get an account of 5gb. The free account starts at 2gb, so you yourself already have additional space. If he has extra space he has aquired it from somewhere.
