You are not fully operational. Your site is down. I have checked with multiple users and it is down.
What is the status and what is the ETR?
Hannah, just wanted to let you know that (for some unknown reason) viewing my Dropbox main page has started working TODAY (Thursday 9/15/22) in Firefox. I have no idea why; I didn't make any changes myself. I'm just glad I don't have to fight with it anymore. Or have to use Chrome to view my info.
Exactly the same that is happening to me 🙄
Hello guys, I hope you're all doing well!
Thanks for all the reports on this. If you haven't already, can you please try the following:
If the issue persists, open a ticket and give me the number or let me know to open a ticket for you. Thanks!
I've tried clearing cookies a couple of times now. After clearing cookies, I can get the login screen to load (all pages were previously blank, but now I can get the login page). However, after I log in, everything is blank again.
Hey @Myshewasyar, have you tried another browser at all since you first noticed this issue?
If you did and this persists, please send us a full-page screenshot of the blank page you're getting.
Thanks!
Yes, I did incognito and used a different browser and still cannot get into dropbox. Am needing an option please. Thanks!
Hi @bvrowners, currently there is a known issue with the Dropbox site, however, the engineering team are aware of this and working on a fix.
I'm running into the same problem with getting a blank page on the home screen. I'm using Firefox, tried Chrome, tried Edge. I OCCASIONALLY see a prompt at the top saying something like: "your browser is blocking dropboxcaptcha" and then says I should go fix it. Oh, I finally managed to do a screen capture before it disappeared and I'll attach a copy of that.
I have no idea why several browsers are blocking dropboxcaptcha and what to do to fix it.
Help?
After logging in, the new window is visible for a short moment, then everything disappears and the window is empty. This occurs since a few days with Firefox; with Google Chrome everything works.
Mine is working again. I didn't do anything different, but was able to log in yesterday. My usual browser, no special procedure. It just worked whereas it didn't before. ??
I'm sorry, just saw that this topic has already been discussed. Please ignore my post.
Hi @sewlady, how are you today?
Can you please try a private browsing window without any extensions or plugins running and let us know if you notice any difference?
If I were you, I'd also try clearing my browser's cache, then try again.
Let me know of any updates!
Megan,
Starting Dropbox in:
Firefox in regular mode does not work.
Firefox in private mode works.
Microsoft Edge does not work ('dropboxcaptcha' message), both in regular and private modes.
Chrome in regular mode works.
Thanks for the additional info here, @sewlady.
Are you still having an issue with this?
If so, it sounds like you have some kind of security extension/ad-block etc., that's blocking the Dropbox website from loading fully.
Have you tried going through this software's settings to whitelist/allow dropboxcaptcha.com, as mentioned in the error message? And did that help?
Hannah, thanks for your reply.
Yep, I've tried all the things you mentioned (thanks for the reminder), but still no joy. Maybe Mozilla will have a suggestion, as I prefer using Firefox. I'll update if I get any more info.
Thanks for keeping me in the loop, @sewlady! I'm happy to see that it works, even though we never found out what was wrong.
However, if you come across any issues again, do let us know and we'll happily look into it.
Have a wonderful weekend!
