Files duplicated across folders

Question

I am using a folder on Dropbox as a backup folder, called “Archive”. When I move a file from my iCloud Drive to the Dropbox folder (so, a copy is made, and not deleted from the iCloud Drive), it is also appearing in a second folder, called “Austria, in Dropbox, when I look via the Dropbox app on by iPhone/iPad. However, when I logon to Dropbox (so, not via the app) I see that the file is only in the backup folder (Archive), and is not duplicated in the second folder (Austria).

hi. The problem has gone! I went to the folders via the app, to get the screenshot you requested, and the files (Apple .numbers files) had disappeared from the Austria folder. The files are still correctly stored in the Archive folder.

Hey @KH_DB - thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Can you please send us a screenshot of how these duplicate files look on your end and clarify their size and type/extension?

Are they symlinks or package files perhaps?

If you could also clarify the OS version of your devices and the version of the Dropbox app as well, I'd appreciate it.
