I can't scroll through my photos on one of my Samsung devices.

I have two identical phones.

In one of them, when I select a photo to view I can then continue to scroll through all the photos in the folder.

On the other phone when I open a photo it is the only one to view so there is no scrolling available

Hey there, @Gayent!

As a first step, I'd suggest trying to clear the app's cache to see if it improves matters at all. To clear the app's cache on Android:

Open the Dropbox mobile app.
Tap the account icon (person) in the bottom right.
Tap the gear icon in the top right.
Scroll down and tap Clear cache.
Tap Clear cache again.

Once you’ve cleared the cache, I also suggest uninstalling the app, rebooting the device, and reinstalling it.

Can you let me know the OS version of both your devices, as a first step? Also, what are the app versions of the Dropbox app running on them?

Other than that, are you navigating through your photos via the Photos tab of your Dropbox mobile app, or are you using the Files tab instead and tapping on a specific folder?

Let me know, and we’ll go from there.

both of them are

Samsung ****** - SM-A556E

both running OS version 16 and dropbox version 480.2.2

I am opening the photos using the files option because it is usually older photos I am wanting to scroll through (from 1970 through to current)

on my phone if I use photos the screen just has the spinning action until I select "open with" and then it opens immediately in gallery (with no option to choose the app) and still no option to scroll to the next photo.

in the other phone, using photos it opens the same as if I was using files and has the scrolling option (if I click on "open with" it gives me a list of apps to open with)

as I was following your instructions I came across a location that had set a default within dropbox, I was looking in the phone apps settings for the default, so i removed the default set there and I also completed your instructions and now my phone is working as I need it to work
