I have tried numerous times to download the Dropbox app to my computer, and it does not appear. I can do to Dropbox and access it there. What am I doing wrong?

If I understand correctly, the installer for the Dropbox desktop app is not showing up on your computer.
Does it actually get downloaded? Have you tried downloading it using a different browser?
Try this link from a different browser and let me know if it works.
