Can I locate and install older versions for the mobile app?

Question

I've been using Dropbox successfully for years on three devices including an old tablet running Android 5.1.1.  That machine was getting rather cluttered so I decided to tidy it up by uninstalling several unused apps, but inadvertently also removed Dropbox.

I've now tried to re-install Dropbox but I get "not compatible with this device".  I assume its original Dropbox app was an earlier version, but I can't see any earlier versions offered on the Dropbox download page.  Are the earlier versions available anywhere?  Thanks.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend any third-party apps or sites for locating older versions of our mobile app. However, I suggest searching online, and I will keep this thread open to allow other users to share their recommendations.

I might treat myself to a new tablet in due course, but in the meantime I'm stuck with the very old Android.  So where can I find the archives with the older Dropbox versions?
