Folders show 427 MB storage used but DB still says 5.64GB of 2.25GB NOTHING seems to fix

Question

Hi, I deleted a large file to reduce my DB back to the basic subscription size and it persists in stating I am over the limit. The 4 remaining folders are only 427.16 MB. I don't have any shared files and my computer hasn't been linked (DB says) 5 years. I only want to access through the web portal. That said, I did delete the 'linked' computers any way. I have had nothing set to back up and I don't think I have for about 10 years. I don't want DB to automatically delete the remaining files when it's not over the limit. How can this be resolved?

Thanks for checking, so, you have the files on your account.

The regular files are everything you see at www.dropbox.com/home

So somewhere on there are files larger than the quota. They are possibly inside a subfolder.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I've opened the BackUps page several times and nothing is there. I don't think I ever had DB set as back up, I have a large capacity One Drive for that.

Under Settings Subscriptions is says BackUps 0 Regular Files 5.6 GB. I've never shared my DB with anyone.

I wish they would make it easy to click the Regular Files 5.6 GB as a link and see exactly what is in there.

Any other ways to find Regular files? I don't seem to be able to upload a screenshot of my home page which shows the All Files. I have a Pictures Folder that size shows >283MB When I open that folder, sub folders don't display a size.

If the cost was much less, I'd pay $12 or $15 annually and not spend any more time on this. But $120 annually for this is not realistic. I've recommended DB for many years to small businesses and my accounting peers but not if they make it this difficult. I guess I can just download to a portable Hard Drive and move on with my life.

Have you looked at www.dropbox.com/backups to see if thats using space? That is usually the culprit.

The website quota is never wrong I'm afraid so if it says you have used 5.64gb of space then somewhere you have
