Dropbox is confusing with info about storage

I am getting confusing messages and see different info under my dashboard about my dropbox is full.
My pc has 3.03gb used oit of 5.0.
Not sure what is Backup folder.
Explanations in the community are too vague.
Also - I can't find here a way to upload a screenshot of my current storage.

Hi @YoVo, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

As you've mentioned Dropbox Backup, could you try checking out this page on your Dropbox account to see if you have any backups taking up quota on your account?

Hello.
I don't have that icon to attach a picture. I see only emoji, media (url) and table icons.

Not sure what's the need of the backup? What's the difference with the dropbox folder I have in my PC that consumes 3.03 gb and that is all I acctually want to have in my DB.

Thanks for the feedback. As we're unable to view external websites to view the images, could you try copying and pasting the images in your next reply in order to see what you've attached?

Dropbox Backup is a feature that allows you to backup certain system folders (Documents, Downloads, Desktop) or external drives to your Dropbox account. This will allow you to have a backup of those folders on the site, so that you can download them separately at another time.

You can also restore those files on a new computer when you install Dropbox on a new machine. These files aren't synced to other machines normally, and are only accessible on the Dropbox Backup site.

The Dropbox folder itself allows you to sync files to your account, and thus the folder will sync to other devices.

Thanks for the reply. As we've currently moved to a new and improved Dropbox Community, there may still be some features that aren't fully operational yet.

Regarding the screenshots, are these regarding the Dropbox Backup site? Are you having any issues deleting the Dropbox Backup to free up the quota on your account?
