Hi @Ananda13, thanks for messaging the Community!
Does the folder contain a lot of files or folders inside it?
Could you try switching browsers to see if the same behavior occurs again?
Otherwise, you can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely.
Let me know how it goes!
Yes, it's a folder with lots and lots of subfolders.I tried switching to Safari but I can't figure out how to get the Size column to appear, so there's no "calculate size" option. Any tips?
Have you tried clicking on the down arrow next to one of the existing column titles, and then choosing the Size option to make that appear?
This will then give you the option to calculate the folder size.
When I click the down arrow next to the column title it just sorts the list by that title.
Hey @Ananda13, let me jump in here!
To make sure we're on the same page here let me recap. You can't see the folder's size both when you click the "Size" option on the existing column titles (first screenshot), and when you hover over the name of the folder and click the check box that appears on the left then "..." (ellipsis) next to the folder and then "Calculate size", right?
When I select "calculate size" I see an error symbol like the screenshot below. This is in Chrome. When I try using Safari I can't get the Size column to appear.
It's possible that you might have too many files in that folder, so it won't be able to calculate the size.
You can try going into the folder itself and then try calculating the size of the subfolders to see if this works.
Thanks for your help but yes it is a folder with a lot of files, which makes it difficult for me to manually calculate the size of each subfolder. I'm disappointed the software can't do this. Is there another way for us to find out the amount of storage we are using?
Hey @Ananda13, I completely understand your frustration here and rest assured that our team was made aware of your feedback.
Have you tried selecting fewer folders at a time? It might not work on the entire parent folder, but if you select a few subfolders at a time, it should work.
