i am new to Dropbox and want to sync files between desktop and iPad but I can’t find anywhere that explains it to a novice like me in a way I can understand.
can somebody help,please
what is a tag that I have to select?

You should be able to find all the information about syncing in the relevant help center article so I'd suggest taking a look there and let us know if you have any specific follow up questions.
As for the tag you mentioned, it's something like a label that's used in the forum to help us sort the posts.
