I have a deactivated email address, how do I log in?

I have a Dropbox account set up with an email that got deactivated. When attempting to log in, Dropbox wants to verify me through the deactivated email… I would like to regain access however I need to given it has memories of someone who has since passed. Any and all help appreciated! I hope there’s a chance to regain access.

Are you able to reactivate or recreate the email address with the email provider, in order to log in to the Dropbox account?
