Though I can access documents through Word or excel, and the left side of File Explorer is working, when I go to the right side of File Explorer to click on a document (or, use the right side to find my document, for example when its a mixture of PDF and Word), or try to select and copy documents - or perform any activity - Explorer freezes and the cursor rotates. It is either necessary to use end task and restart, or after several minutes the rotation ends - but, regardless, there is no way to use Dropbox from the left side of Explorer.
This problem does NOT exist in folders/files not within Dropbox.
I have rebooted multiple times, and delinked, uninstalled Dropbox and re-downloaded three times. The result is the same.
It is not happening on my laptop which runs Windows 11.
I saw online this may be caused by the latest Dropbox windows update, and it suggested logging out and back in, and the deselecting Windows updates. But, when I log out and back in, there is no screen giving me that choice.
As of now, my Dropbox is not useable as it always has been and essentially useable only for very basic access of, editing of, documents already created - in folders already created - when accessed through word, excel or PDF.
thank you
