I would like to have the CHOICE to disable the "Dropbox Almost Full" notification.
As a temporary solution, I have chose to not start Dropbox on system boot and close it, but I would like to know how can I disable this message with Dropbox open.
Hi there @funkup!
Sounds like you’re receiving a notification about your Dropbox account running out of space. You can check how much space you’ve got left by navigating to your Plan tab on your Settings.
Although this notification cannot be disabled, it will not appear once your Dropbox account isn’t close to or over its storage limit. To do this, you can either make space by removing unwanted content (including shared folder and files) or earn free space.
I hope this helped. Let me know if you have any more questions!
SOLUTION:
In windows 10 after the annoying notification, click on the speach bubble icon on the lower right of your screen, this brings up the notifictaion/ action area, right click on the dropbox notification above then " Disable notifications for this group."
That should stop you being pestered.

It seems that you're close to your account's quota limit, in which case it would be normal and expected to receive an email notification to let you know about it @Calion
What does http://www.dropbox.com/plan say? Have you also checked http://www.dropbox.com/backups

Hi from me too and thanks for the screenshot too @Calion - much appreciated.
There's a part missing from the link Mark shared. Could you check your plan tab on this page and let us know what you see reported there in regards to your quota?

Question or IssueI am getting extremely tired of getting "You're running out of space!" notifications. I'm not running out of space. I have more than 1GB free. If these don't stop, I think I'll just move everything to iCloud Drive and delete Dropbox.
This was previously marked as Solved, based on the percentage of free space I have left. However, that is not how Dropbox looks at these things. It is complaining because I am over 2GB. Period. This has to stop, this is not correct behavior, and I am entirely sick of it.
Hi @Calion, we appreciate your feedback regarding the quota notifications you're receiving. We take all comments into consideration when improving the Dropbox desktop app.
Yeah, except that that’s not the case; this is deliberate.
Of course you don’t email me, as indicated here…but there’s no way to turn off such notifications in the app.
As described at English | The Dropbox Community except now these notifications are coming up every couple of minutes after I dismiss them. This is insane and unworkable. I have 500MB free; that’s more than plenty. I’m nowhere near running out of space.
Something’s got to change.
Hi there, @Calion, thanks for your post and sorry to hear about this.
Can you send me a screenshot of one of those notifications? Just make sure to hide any personal info before uploading the screenshot.
Also, please send a screenshot of your space usage, as shown here.
Thanks in advance.
These are coming in literally every minute, as you can tell by the timestamps of the two images above (I have several more spaced about a minute apart if you’d like them).
Hey @Calion, thanks for the screenshots.
Is this happening on a different browser, as well? Just so that we can isolate the issue further and see if that makes any difference.
You can also test this via incognito mode.
Let me know how it goes.
Browser? What browser? This is in the macOS app.
HI @Calion, have you tried clicking the notification icon within the Dropbox desktop application itself via the menu bar, and marking the notification as read?
There doesn’t seem to be any such thing. There were older, similar notifications, but the new ones don’t appear in the app notifications.
Could you check to see if you can disable notifications for low quota or space from the Dropbox site directly to see if this helps?
I've had it like this for a very long time, in order to try to get these notifications to stop to begin with.
Hello, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We believe we’ve identified the likely cause of the issue you described and are working on a fix.
