My sharing recipient is getting an error saying the zip file is invalid.

I've used the desktop app dozens of times to transfer or share documents, but suddenly, my recipient is getting an error message that says the zip file is invalid.

The folder I'm trying to share is the one at top. As you can see, the blue icon looks different than the others, but I'm not sure why or what it means. Thanks for any help.

Hi @ErnieDee, thanks for posting today.

This icon means that this is a shared folder on your Dropbox account, so other members can access it directly from their own Dropbox accounts.

Are you sharing the folder to their account directly, or are you sharing a link to the folder?

Hi from me too, @ErnieDee! I wanted to chime in and ask whether the recipient of your shared content is still unable to access your .zip file.

If they are, can you clarify whether you’re sharing a folder or a link with them, like Jay asked above?

This happens when the Zip File is corrupted. Try re-zipping the folder, also try to use different compression tools and then resend it.😊Hope that would help resolving your issue.
