I dont believe such notifications exist anywhere in Dropbox I'm afraid.
All I can suggest is tracking http://www.dropbox.com/events, or, if you dont want people to move files out of Dropbox locking things down using the appropriate link permissions. Same goes for saving, there is no way to get notified if that happens, but you can try and make it harder via link permissions.

@Mark Thanks for your email.
I found information to "Enable or disable notifications on an iOS device" but wanted to ask, what are the exact settings needed? I wanted to get notifications on the iPhone.
The link is: https://help.dropbox.com/account-settings/notified-changes - does this actually work on latest IOS on iPhone?
Hey @User34, thanks for reaching out to us.
The article you linked mentions that the Dropbox app on iOS provides push notifications about shared folder invitations and when links are shared with you.
At this time, there's no setting for the notifications you mentioned, but you can follow Mark's advice and I'll also pass your feedback along to our team.
If you have other questions, let us know!
Please see attached screenshot: can you please clarify what this means and where are the settings?
Hi @User34, this appears to be a desktop notification showing that there were changes in your Dropbox folder, so you wouldn't get notifications similar to these on an mobile device using the Dropbox mobile app.
Are you able to navigate to the Settings app on your iOS device, using the steps in the article you linked in order to receive notifications for shared folder invites and when links are shared with you?
@Jay Hi, thanks for the message.
How do I enable the desktop notifications for MacBook Air, please can you confirm the settings? This should work better for my needs.
No worries, you can access your Dropbox desktop application preferences by following these steps.
If you need any further assistance, please let me know!
@Jay Please can you confirm what the exact setting are for the Desktop application?
Are you able to access the preferences for the desktop app?
Can you view the Notifications tab within the preferences?
@Jay Yes I can access the Notification tab for the desktop app.
@Jay I'm unsure if the settings for the desktop app are correct. Please can you help?
Could you attach or copy and paste a screenshot showing what you're seeing currently in order to assist further?
@Jay Yes please see below screenshot showing what I am seeing, please can you assist further?
I'm not seeing any screenshot in your last reply, could you attach it again for me to see what's happening?
@Jay Please see attached 3 screenshots.
@Jay I reposted the screenshots above, did they come through ok? Please can you assist further.
(By the way, for some unknown reason, there are issues with me posting screenshots on this thread today.)
Hey @User34, let me also jump in here!
Keep in mind that these notification settings would only apply to your desktop device.
Depending on what you need, you can keep the relevant notification enabled or alternatively you can disable it. Based on your screenshot, it looks like all of the applicable notifications are turned on at the moment.
If you have any questions, let me know.
@Jay I posted screenshots earlier today to this thread. I would like to get desktop notifications as per the screenshot below, please can you assist me further?

Based on your screenshots you should get them on your Mac when you are there - but only in real time. They wont go to iPhone/other devices just that one device if/when you are logged in
@Mark I am not getting Desktop Notifications in realtime when I am there on my Mac. Please can you assist?
@Mark Are you getting Desktop Notifications when you are on your Mac in realtime? Please can you clarify?
You said "They wont go to iPhone/other devices just that one device if/when you are logged in" : this is a bit unclear to me. Please would you clarify the behaviour?
I'd be happy to clarify! If you get a new file added to your Dropbox account from another device, say for example you are using camera uploads on your phone, and it's uploading images, then when those files sync to your desktop machine, you'll get that notification saying a new file (or files) have been added to your account.
What @Mark was saying was that you'll see that desktop notification only if you're currently logged into that machine at the time. Mobile devices won't get any notifications about new files added to your Dropbox account.
@Jay do you mean that mobile devices never get notifications? Please would you confirm?
Hey @User34, what Jay means is that you won't get a notification on your mobile device about a file being added to your account.
The Dropbox app on your mobile device will send you other types of notifications, for example when someone shares a folder with you, or the security code needed to sign in to your account on another device, or if your account is full.
@Mark You advised: "Based on your screenshots you should get them on your Mac when you are there - but only in real time." I am slightly confused, please would you clarify this behaviour with an example? I only work on one MacBook Air.
@Jay I posted a reply earlier, as the part which is still consuing me is "you'll see that desktop notification only if you're currently logged into that machine at the time."

If you're not signed in to the computer when the notification arrives, you won't see it. Notifications are not persistent. They pop up only while Dropbox is running, and disappear after a moment. If you're not using the computer at the time, you won't see it.
What Jay and Mark wanted to say is that you'll be able to see the notifications on your Mac only if you're using that computer with the Dropbox desktop app running and syncing your changes while logged into the same Dropbox account as the one you use on your iOS mobile device @User34
For example, you'll see the files you're uploading from your mobile device listed in the sync history in the Dropbox desktop app on your Mac, but for deletions you'd be better off looking at the events page instead.
I hope this clarifies!
@Walter When am I supposed to get the below displayed when using the desktop? I am unclear, please kindly clarify.

When logged in to the iMac and the file has been actively added and you are looking at the screen.
If a file was added at 2pm but you were logged out, not at the machine or not looking at the screen you wont get one. They are on screen for a short time only, so, if you miss it you miss it. Also if you log in at 2.10pm you still wouldnt get the notification because you were not there when it happened.
