How can my clients comment on a file when they are uploading using a file request link?

I am setting up a system for my clients to be able to upload files using a file request link but I can't find a way for them to be able to comment on the files. Once they click upload, they no longer have access to the file and most don't have a Dropbox account. If it's not possible, I would suggest that it be submitted as an idea to improve Dropbox.

There is no option for that during the upload process, but they could always upload a text file with any comments or notes that you need.
