Why are photos being uploaded twice?

Hi there, I’m hoping someone can help me out as I can’t figure out why certain photos are being saved multiple times when I upload them. I upload from my iPhone and in my most recent upload, there were 27 photos in my camera roll that I uploaded and the total that ended up in the Dropbox folder was double that….. 54. It seems to be saving every photo as a png AND a jpg….? Please help. Thank you!

Hi @XX28, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are you using the camera upload feature in the Dropbox mobile app?

Do you have any filters applied to your images, such as portrait mode, or are you using a non-standard camera app?

Hi Jay, thanks for your response. i sometimes use portrait mode on the camera but it’s not only these photos being duplicated. It’s all of them. I don’t use any other camera app. Thanks

Just to check , are you using the camera upload feature, or are you uploading them manually?

I am also having the same issue. I get a phone banner notification telling me file conversions are complete from Dropbox and then I see duplicate PNG files of my original JPG files. I think maybe a setting got changed that I am not aware of.
